Brightening Up a Home with a House Washing

It is hard to tell a customer that you can brighten up their home with a washing. How do you tell them your home can be brighter and look better when it does not have the green or black growth on it?

Just giving it a good cleaning can give it some wow factor back to the home. Unless they are watching you work they really do not know how dirty of dull their home was. As hard as it is to tell them that it is harder to get a photo of what we see when we clean. I was moving hoses today and had a look at the home and saw what I thought would make a good photo. It is not that cleaning the "green meanies" photo or the "big money shot" we all like to post. Just a regular house washing we all do and see each day. It is not the best but does show a brightening of the home adding curb appeal. I here people say all the time "my house is not dirty" just because it does not have green mold and mildew growing on it, does not mean it can not use a good washing. I don't know if I caught the entire idea in this photo but it does show a good impact.

Gutter Brightening Republic / Billings Missouri

Yes Spring is coming in and was able to to some gutter brightening. This is not the biggest of jobs but it helps set you back into the work force. These gutters man not appear too bad but they were some of the dirtiest I have come across in a long time. Taking pictures of dirt verse clean gutters is one of the hardest shots to get you can see it but the camera just does not relay the dirty factor. In any case here are some photos.

Gutter brightening Billings / Republic MO area. The photos really don't show how gray and completely covered with years of grime these gutters are. The house is located near a major high-way and a train track that hauls coal, the home sits in an open field so it attract all the airborne dirt.

Busy, busy, busy with cleaning but have time to post up an entry for "Wash'n Wednesday". Washed a home for a customer most of it came out to my high standards but wanted to post up these photos to show what "real world photos" are and look like no enhancements, no brightening, no lighten or blurring, just the work I did. The trouble was a pellet stove which has been exhausting and baking on the exhaust for over a year. I could not get these areas and eves cleaned to 100% without danger of damage from high pressure or using harsh chemicals. Two things Cleaned by Pete does not do or use on a home.

Photo shows what the pellet stove exhaust did to the homes vinyl siding, eves, fascia and soffit over a year of heat and soot bakes into the vinyl. Eves and over hangs kept it there. The after photo shows that though not 100% restored it is much better and as clean as this round will allow.

With over a year of baking and heat on this vinyl. Pellet stove exhaust, baked on soot, creosoted stains, repeated or continuous heating opened the pours of the soft vinyl and lets the hot exhaust bake and settle in. It left me with quite a challenge. Not hiding our work or pictures but showing you our customers and perspective customer what can be expected. While is is a very unusual problem Cleaned by Pete did the best cleaning that this circumstance would let me do. Putting our best foot forward. Too much pressure can cut, pit or engrave the top coat of the vinyl opening it up to the elements which would cause more damage long term. Using harsh chemicals  can burn, pit or engrave the vinyl in much the same way. Even had scrubbing this area and working this area several times the embedded stains refused to come out all the way.

A real world photo showing that while not at 100% Cleaned by Pete cleaned this wall from the exhaust, soot, baked on and creosoted stains caused by the pellet stove. With out using harsh chemicals on the vinyl or dangerous pressure these are the best results for this years cleaning. Trying not to over promise but what can be expected in this unusual situation.

Ladder fail, No ladders on your home, Cleaned by Pete

Ladder fail

It is rarely the fault of a ladder when someone falls or is hurt using a ladder. The main reason is operator error. A ladder and its' placement is hard sometimes block it up or over extending it is asking for problems. Now let's add a power washer to the mix the recoil or sudden burst of power when the trigger is pulled can have failers while both feet are on the ground. What happens when your on a ladder with a 3 foot wand a hose full of water hanging down and you compress the trigger. There is just one simple answer in this case. "You should have hired a professional power washer to do the job using soft wash techniques we are able to safely clean and wash never leaving the ground up to 3 stories high.

Below you see men at work, they are working with ladders cleaning painting and doing other jobs around the house. Why put your loveones at risk why put yourself at risk? You should call a professional power washer, don't be like these guys! Don't wonder what will happen if I do this! Don't fail call a professional.
