Giraffe rock, fieldstone, native rock, slabbed sand-stone or lime-stone, flagstone and worm rock, including Carthage stone in slabs, cut, faced or using the natural rock as is are all used in building homes in this area. Not only homes but also schools, community buildings, churches and even ranger stations were built from these ready available material if Southwest Missouri has one thing in abundance it is rock. Cleaned by Pete is specializing in cleaning these Ozark stone or rock homes, most of them have been long neglected but they are finding a revival now. The owner wanted us to clean the home and make it stand out a bit more. He really did not like the painted mortar joints and wanted know what we could do so we did this for him, The rock is more defined and now stands out, this giraffe received a bath.
